For my birthday today here’s a #ThrowbackThursday from 1988. My birthday was on Easter. And I think it’s safe to say, I was a goofball. (Also fun fact. Easter landed on my birthday when I was 1, 6, and 12. It won’t again until I’m 85.)
Mission: a week of menu planning. Jobs: a scribe, an assistant and a researcher.
Payment: field trip to the grocery store + treat
It’s sunny!! And not windy!!!!! Oh thank the heavens!!! I’m outside reading and soaking in the vitamin D. (Also can you spot the creppy wasps nest in my tree… how does one rid themselves of such a problem before they escape for the season?)
A little behind but I got my post up of the books I read in January. A few classics, regency, ya, paranormal, romance and more.
Have you read any of these?

I LOVE ten y/o’s. While I curled her sisters hair this one cleaned up the basement from a big party last night. All by herself. Without being asked. Major brownie points so she’s cashing in a few. It’s almost 11 and she’s still up playing Halo with mom and dad.
A joke from my 10yo. I think she saw it on pinterest. The punchline w/picture: “You whoo big summer blow out.”
Ok it was gloriously sunny for the first half. This was my favorite ride to watch. Did it a couple times. Free range (no tracks). Huge course. Kids only. And happened to get all three kids in one shot.
(You know how Walt Disney had trains at his house? I kinda want this ride in my backyard.)
Serves me right after I brag about the sun it poured on us today but we still had fun at Legoland! ;)
